Description

There are around 150 species of evergreen, creeping or trailing perennials or sub-shrubs in this genus. The stems are pendulous and borne from a low crown, which is sparsely branched. The single or axillary flowers are borne in various colours. They are frost tender, min 5C, and will need a bright but indirect light, with a fairly humid atmosphere and moist soil, except in the winter. You can propagate by tip cuttings after flowering.
