Description

This is an upright-bushy shrub or tree. It will produce a density growth of stems about 7m high. In the winter the bare twigs are massively covered with long yellow-orange, red catkins. The nut is enclosed in a green, fringed tube, In the autumn the leaves will become pale yellow. It is very tolerant of high winds. It will prefer rich soil and will do well in full sun or partial shade.
