There is a vast amount of information contained within this site, and it grows daily.  So the ability to easily find content is vital, to that end there are a number of different ways of finding things on the site:

Using the Plant Finder 

If you want to search specifically for plants and plant details then use the Plant Finder.   This allows you to do basic searching on a plant name and more comprehensive searching based on plant characteristics.  This is accessed using the Plant FInder block found on the left of the site.

Searching the Whole Site

Where you want to search more generally across the site; search forum topics; search users garden or plant details then used the general search feature.  This is accessed from Navigation menu on the left of the site.

Using Links

Using the Links on The Garden Wall is more to do with Discovering than Searching.

The power of The Garden Wall is in all the links that can be built between content: pictures to plants; plants to users gardens; gardens to forum posts ... an so on.

Whenever you are looking at a piece of information on the site, there will be links that will take to to related information and lists.
