Description

These are annuals, biennials and evergreen perennials, sub-shrubs and scandent climbers. They are hardy to frost tender, with a min of 5-7C. Most will prefer a sunny position but some will prefer a shady cool site, with moist but well drained soil. Try to incorporate a sharp sandy compost. They will dislike wet conditions in the winter. Propagation is by softwood cuttings in late spring or summer, or by seed in the autumn.

In spring-summer, there are large, pouch-like, golden-yellow flowers with red-brown spots and broadly oval, basal, light green leaves.
