Description

Asparagus is a delicious perennial vegetable. The spears of asparagus will expand into ferny upright stems. When preparing an asparagus trench, some special care should be taken in the preparation of the growing bed. You should make your trench deep about 1foot and about as wide. Give your soil plenty of organic matter such as compost or leaf mould, and then refill your trench by half and set your crowns in the soil. Every spring you will need to mulch well with compost or other organic matter as asparagus plants are heavy feeders.

This is a good eating variety with a pleasing taste.
