Description

Abelias are shrubs from 1-6 m tall, native to eastern Asia (Japan west to the Himalaya) and southern North America (Mexico); the species from warm climates are evergreen, and colder climate species deciduous

A genus of about 30 species of both deciduous and evergreen shrubs from eastern Asia and Mexico. In summer, they will produce an abundance of tubular shaped flowers in clusters for which they are grown. Foliage is dark green and may need staking.

This variety is a semi-evergreen arching bush with ovate dark green, bronze leaves. The flowers are trumpet-shaped pinkish purple small blooms in the mid summer.
